About our sunroom contractor business in Anaheim

Bright sunroom addition with white-framed windows, a round dining table, and dark wicker chairs overlooking a lawn.

How I came to build sunrooms in Anaheim

I spent years running schedules for a busy company, then moved onto the job sites and learned to build sunrooms from the crews I used to plan for. We started Skyview in Anaheim in 2013, and most of our calls still come from homeowners who want a patio closed in, a deck turned into a room, or a sunroom they'll finally use.

Most of our rain falls in winter and the summers here run dry, so a room that looks good the day we finish can still sit empty if it's too hot in August or drafty in January. I care most that yours gets used and stays comfortable. My scheduling years taught me that people relax when they know what's next, so nobody working with us is left wondering. You can see the rooms we build on our home page.

What working with us is like

  • A room planned around how you'll use it

Before anything gets drawn up, I ask how you want to use the room, because that decides the glass, the shade and whether it needs heat. A room planned that way gets used long after we've packed up.

  • The person who measured is the one you talk to

I come out myself to look at the job, take the measurements and talk it through, so you're never explaining your house again to someone new. Our lead installer and our own installers do the building.

  • Screened, glassed or heated, and you choose

We lay out a screen room, a glassed room and a heated room side by side, with what each one gives you and what it asks of your budget. The decision stays with you, and we won't steer you toward the biggest job.

  • Notice before each stage starts

I keep the work in a clear order and tell you before each stage begins, so you know when the crew is coming and what they'll be doing. If something turns up once the work is open, we tell you what we found and what your options are.

Licenses and permits for your sunroom

Serving Anaheim Since 2013

  • California contractor's license

Licensed and fully insured. The state's Contractors State License Board requires a license for anyone who builds or alters a structure when the job needs a building permit, uses hired workers, or comes to $1,000 or more in labor and materials, so almost any sunroom or patio enclosure falls under it.

  • Anaheim business license and permits

The city asks anyone doing business in Anaheim to hold an Anaheim Business License, and its Building Division reviews plans and inspects the work, with most improvements needing a permit before construction starts. We find out what the city asks for on your project, handle the permit paperwork when the job needs it, and point you to the city for questions about your own lot.
